I guess there might still be some delusional ones left. I would hope even Christiano fans are able to recognise Messi is greater at this point, but you're probably right.

Portuguese here. I always said Messi was the better one. But the majority of people tell me i am just envious of Ronaldo's fortune.

The way i really see it:

Messi is talent embodied. Born with it. Barely any effort needed.

And Ronaldo is sheer willpower and determination to be what Messi is without the effort he has to put in it.

One is biological. The other a machine. One loves to play. The other is just putting numbers in excel.

My favorite after all this said, is Ronaldinho. "Joga Bonito".

Ronaldo is one of the greatest players ever. Messi is an alien. You watch Christiano (in his prime) and you think "man, that is an insane player". You watch Messi and you think "that person is not human".

Dinho was a magician I agree. We'll probably never see someone like him again, especially with modern football stifling creative expression a little, at least at the top level.
