United Kingdom
General community for news/discussion in the UK.
Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.
Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

The prime minister of the UK, Kier Starmer, is married to a woman who is Jewish so at the moment it's not really possible for the UK to be rational when it comes to Palestine or Israel.
"The couple has two children: a son (born 2008) and a daughter (born 2010); both are being brought up in their mother's Jewish heritage and culture. The family observe Shabbat and are members of the Liberal Jewish Synagogue in north London." -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Starmer
Havw to ask why this happens so much thst atheists marry jews and cave to their pressure or requests to raise the kids in the jewish faith
Sex and procreation, the main drivers of human behaviour along with food and survival. It's nothing specific to Judaism, it's the same for every religion.
Probably a combination of "it's really important to this person" and "love". Switching to what your loved one supports happens with all faiths, and occasionally, even football teams.
I have no problem with that.
I do, however, have a problem with that actually meaning "they have to support Israel's genocide" or "they have to arrest anyone who says mean things about Israel".
I suspect you could burn a Union Jack in the middle of your City Centre and there'd be no legal response to it (assuming you had an adequate fire risk assessment).
I also suspect if you burnt an Israeli flag in the middle of your City Centre that you'd be quickly arrested for "terrorism".
