I made a list (far from complete) using European brands, categorised by Country, and type of fashion.

I haven't finished categorising it by sportswear, outerwear, casual, or formal wear etc.

There are very likely a few mistakes, if anyone sees any mistakes and/or thinks another brand should be on the list, please let me know where they are from and I will add them.

I also have not categorised them by delivery (selected countries, EU wide, or international). It was initially just meant to be a reminder of clothing that is made in the EU, but I started categorising and now here I am.. The UK list is just massive on it's own, so may add that later, I did not include yet.

Ideally all brands will be manufactured in Europe/UK/EU, but where they require VAT on delivery in xx country etc.. I will mark them as I find out.

Legend:

  • S = Sustainable / more eco-focused and Premium
  • PR = Premium / not clearly fast fashion
  • FF = Fast fashion / less expensive (frequent trends)
  • Unisex = Men & Women etc.
  • Mixed = Men, Women and Kids

You have mentioned under both Sweden and Denmark. The brand is Swedish but it is owned by a Danish company, does that mean it should be sorted under Denmark?

You can add some more brands

Estonia

Suva

Sweden

Stenstrรถms - PR
Oscar Jacobson - PR
Woolpower - PR

Luxembourg

Eton - PR

Denmark

Selected Homme - FF
Jack & Jones - FF

Norway

Aclima - PR
Morris - PR

I think all these brands except for the fast fashion and Morris have production in Europe.

Thanks, I added them, but not sure if the Suva is the one you meant (socks) I removed Tiger of Sweden from Sweden, meant to remove it earlier

I also changed woolpower and aclima to sustainable as I will imply that is Premium anyway.

Suva

Also, says here that Eton are Swedish Eton

Selected are related to a few under the Bestseller umbrella, I will add them later Selected

It says here Morris are Swedish also Morris

I didn't know it existed several Suva brands, I meant the socks.

Eton and Morris are Swedish brands but Eton is owned by EARL GREY HOLDING Sร RL which is based in Luxembourg, probably moved for tax reasons. Morris is owned by HOLTA INVEST AS which is a Norwegian private investment company. Is it supposed to be which country the brand is located in or where the owners are from?

Neither really, I just wanted to remind about EU brands and was putting a list together when I started to categorise them a little.

But.

I think where they are made is slightly more important, as that is the workers that make them.

So for example a Japanese person could own the company, but started it and manufactures the items in Sweden.. But also what the company themselves declare their brand as, is just as important too I guess.

I hadn't heard of Eton, but according to the wiki page above, they are owned by EQT_AB (85%).

I know some people frown upon fast fashion which is often manufactured in other countries, and that's how I started categorising, but haven't yet marked which ones are not actually manufactured in the EU despite being considered an EU brand, but I will when they are pointed out. (I don't know which ones yet).

Completely off topic but I used allabolag.se that gets data from the quarter reports for all listed companies and that page said EARL GREY HOLDING Sร RL. So I had to find out what was correct, it turns out EQT sold it one year ago.

I have a document where I have collected different clothing brands that are based in Europe, most of them are also manufacturing in Europe. I will check the countries for them and add it in a new comment if I have time during the weekend.
