Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

Oh lord, I was made for this thread, I have about 100 or so different perfumes

What price point are you looking at? And what are your preferred notes?

The ones I love tend to be designer and niche, I can recommend some really good fragrance if you like 😃

Edit

I forgot to add my faves....

une fleur de Cassie- Frederic Malls (a mimosa bomb)

Sarassins- serge lutens (jasmine, jasmine, jasmine, oh and some musk too)

L'nombres d'or vanille- Mona di orio (I think its discontinued now, but it'd a beautiful grown up boozy vanilla) also her oud perfume too, very expensive but fantastic

Spiriteuse double vanille- guerlain (another amazing vanilla)

Winter woods- Sonoma scent studio (an American indie perfume house, amber, woodslasts for days and days, and makes me go weak at the knees)

Wild hunt- cbihatepefume (less of a 'perfume' and more of a sensory experience, think pine Forrest, wet earth, mushrooms. If I need to be transported this one does the job)

Bat- zoology perfumes (another indie house, concept is everything bat, so it opens with the food- fruit, the smell of the cave and damp earth with some musk thrown in of the furry bat)

I'll add some more tomorrow 👍

niche not so much or lets say i should be able to find in europe. Pricepoint can be between drugstore and luxury. Im not so sure about notes i like, but i think wood and vanilla but with a twist.

Im looking for parfumes for different occasions. For example "strong confident woman that is beeing taken seriously in meetings" and for this i have "Libre" by Yves Saint Lauren, which is also a nice day to day sent. For this topic i am also considering "Guilty" by Gucci because it smells like someone with the confidence i'd like to have. i hope i will get there though :)

I also like "Born in Rome" by Valentino and "Zadig" by Zadig and Voltaire.

for me it's easyer to test designer or somewhat popular parfums, because i live in a rather small city.

so anyways, i'm still looking for parfums for ocasions like: doing something outdoors with a friend in spring or summer. So maybe something light/fresh/clean/sporty

and a day to day parfum for winter that is not too heavy nor too sweet. So i guessing something with wood an citrus? but i'm not sure.

i hope that was somewhat understandable :)

Right, I'm going to do several replies to your comment over the week as I come up with ideas (I'm also away for a few days without WiFi)

So, just thinking about some of the brands I've sniffed and also from my own collection...

Chanel les exclusifs- bois des isles, is sandalwood, a bit of citrus, and a spicy sweetness

https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Chanel/Bois-des-Iles-1006.html

Serge lutens- une bois vanille

https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Serge-Lutens/Un-Bois-Vanille-478.html

Lutens also does some fresher, lighter scents in the l'eau collection.

https://www.fragrantica.com/designers/Serge-Lutens.html

His 'signature style' is usually oriental, spicy, sometimes very oddly fruity, but the vanilla and l'eau maybe more you. You can get them on places like eBay and some department shops

I was in Selfridges today and Gucci have a nice collection called the alchemist garden, which have a good range of florals and woods represented

Diptyque have a large collection including eau duelle (vanilla)

https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Diptyque/Eau-Duelle-Eau-de-Parfum-49100.html

Again you can pick up their perfumes on eBay including minis

There are scent sampler websites where you can buy a sample from 1ml upwards to try before you buy, you can also get manufacturers samples via eBay too

I'll comment again soon after I've had another think 👍

Right, I've thought of another brand that might be accessible for you

https://www.jomalone.eu/new-sites

They have some nice summery light fragrances, and scented creams etc

Also you should either find them in store, but can order online too

thank you! I have heard of the famous wood sage and sea salt and got a sample. i will eventually check out others or get more samples first, since they are kind of expensive.
