Hello - I don't want to DM you out of the blue. Are you in the US? I'm depressed and living with my (emotionally abusive) parents in the suburbs again, so I understand you and want you to know that you're not alone. I'm trying to make an escape plan to give myself something to work towards so I don't feel like I'm living without purpose. Sorry if this is strange, but would you want to brainstorm an escape plan together? You don't have to struggle alone :) be well
Have you considered reporting their emotional abuse to authorities?
Also, if you wish to message me in the future, keep in mind that I am easily triggered by mentions of child harm and abuse in general.
I am a grown adult, living for free in their home. I am doing my best to quietly save money, move out, and cut contact, even if temporarily. It's a very complex relationship and living situation but my parents are troubled, but good people, and I still love them. Thank you for your concern.

Yes, I do live in America (in Florida, unfortunately), and I really hate how the Supreme Court kind of ruined homeless people sleeping outdoors (read up on it), so sleeping outside is not an option. What sort of plan do you have in mind? I think you should tell your plan first.
