I thought he was too good to be true the first time I saw him. And for what it's worth, this latest woman isn't a Republican. She told politico in their story that she was torn between platner's politics and his behavior when considering coming forward.
About half of the fervolity on the left is synthetic. There are multiple groups actively trying to divide the left using plant influencers and vast botnets of ai commenters. They sow division and outrage.
It's cognitive dissonance plain and simple. Doesn't matter whether a republican or Democrat does it. Someone with a needed political message turns out to be a predator. It is not easy to square and so they lash out and victim blame or double down on their support.
