I'm more interested in ¥4.5 billion for 335 million views - are the actors really getting over ¥13 (8 cents) per view? Are the channel owners even averaging that? YouTube doesn't (usually) even pay 1/8th of that.

Yeah thats an insane pay out per view. Maybe they get extra for product placement or user generated ads in the videos?

I will admit I'm pretty ignorant on how these YT creators make so much money...

I think it starts with a very generous definition of "a view."
