he's 81 years old and thinks his opinion should still matter. it's distressingly common in the American gerontocracy and, well, we've all seen the results.
It's actually an anthropological issue:
As elders survive longer and fit better than the minors they oppress, they use their survivorship bias to groom the next generation to fit their exact needs.
It's happening everywhere.
Where I live, it's hopeless.
more than any other place i've been on the internet, lemmy really feels like the place to go for watching the first draft of a propaganda campaign
But, that's kinda blatant. Who goes to offshoot a decentralized reddit if not people that create a draft of something without having the time and patience to finish it?
