I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Epstein’s johns were vetted (in the sense that they had to be successful enough that blackmailing them was worth the risk of engaging in sex trafficking and blackmail) While Epstein was a soulless monster, he still had an interest in preserving his ’investment’ in the girls because they weren’t completely disposable to his operation. Some techbro bullshit app, wrapped up in contracts and lawyers will just write off missing girls as “they knew what they were getting into” or if some john gets caught, he’ll be a bad apple, and they’ll reconsider their processes, blah, blah, blah.
Being totally real, they’re just going to grow the business until they get to the tipping point of bad press and gullible investment firms so they can offload it for maximum profit.

Definitely. I over-explain things. My “I can’t believe…” is that I was offering a statement that was in any way positive about Epstein.
Really, I wanted to opine on the vile nature of people with no morals who use technology to launder suffering and exploitation into investor dollars, and your comment was a great setup for it. (But I did get your joke, and I thought it was a good one.)

Oh, don't take my reply negatively. I just was unsure if you were ignoring the fact that it is a joke because of the seriousness of the subject matter is all. Just wanted to put out there that I understand how disgusting it all was, and, in this particular instance, I am dealing with it via humor.
