The bear (Goldbär = gold bear) is the mascot from the Brand (HARIBO = Hans Riegel Bonn), a German sweets company. They came up with the Goldbär because of the then competitor "Gummibären" (gummy bears). The bear is on most types of gummies the brand offers link to online shop if interested sometimes together with the liquorice-boy.
