MODERATORS

Some comrades were surprised when I mentioned the constant drones circulating above me in Lebanon, which made me realize how media doesn't even report on the situation here, so here's a summary:

Israel has been striking us since the "Ceasefire" in late November 2024 despite no retaliation from Hezbollah whatsoever. Drones circulate over us constantly (one is above me right now) causing psychological torment, anxiety, and always feeling on edge, awaiting an explosion. You can imagine the psychological effects of these, which are absolutely tiring. Our government consists of U.S, French, and Saudi Arabian elected corrupts, which are more worried on disarming of the only form of resistance since the 1980s than getting the many children begging on the streets into proper environments. Everywhere you walk, not just homeless adults but kids, small kids, alone on the streets begging. Education is fully controlled by the private sector along with everything else, so even the workers can't afford the most basic of services.

I want to die, just reading this.

What the actual fuck.

How is the situation between people? Are there any resistance networks, mutual aid, etc? What can we do to help?

Not much really other than revolution, which is not going to happen any time soon. People already were in a shitty situatuation mostly. The war just made it worse. The most basic services are luxuries. Education for example is 5k per person a year for a decent one. Everywhere you look, people (mostly children) are begging. It burns my heart.
