"As revolutionaries, we don't have the right to say that we're tired of explaining. We must never stop explaining. We also know that when the people understand, they cannot but follow us. In any case, we, the people, have no enemies when it comes to peoples. Our only enemies are the imperialist regimes and organizations." Thomas Sankara, 1985

MODERATORS

The left is far to divided and needs a central leader. The advantage the liberals and conservatives have are that their parties are not fractured. The two party system also prevents any way to win democratically so the only way to do this would be a revolution. But to have a revolution you must have the people on your side and Americans tend to look at a central leader like a president as the representation of a movement. How should we unite all of the different leftists under one leader so that there can be a united opposition. We also need to get more people to understand that currently America is not a true democracy and that the only way to fix this is with violence. Currently we need far more comrades like Luigi to remove the bourgeoisie with violence. If there are people with nothing left to lose some brave comrade should give them a weapon so they can do something.

For those of us living in the USA discussing theory won't change anything. Only action will. United we will win, fractured we will fall.

I really feel like both of you have a good point here and I would really like to see where this kind of conversation goes without becoming an argument.

Yes, we need to organize. Yes, communal outreach is a great way to organize. But our methods of organizing in the U.S. need to go in a more creative, more effective direction in response to the fascist violence against our comrades.

I’ve had an idea for a while to get a Chinese printer and start sending out Marxist analysis to free areas in local communities. Like those “free library” posts.

We need more outreach, we need to not mince words, but we also need to make sure we don’t get black bagged. I know someone who was involved in civil rights agitation who was abducted by ICE as early as February.

No one is talking about it, but they are going after active progressives and the leaders of leftist groups. People who apply our theory to practice.

I agree that desperate times need desperate measures.

But telling someone they can not ask others to organize is not a good point imo. On the complete contrary.

But yes, absolutely should we spread the word, US or not. What do you know about the printer situation? I heard they print the serial number or something?

Chinese printers don’t track what you print. I believe they’re the best option for something like this but I’ll have to put more research into it.
