I've heard that her review reads better if you assume she's doing a literary critique of the script rather than a film review. Which makes sense, she's not a film critic, she's a scholar.

Wilson's review seems more a review of the intellectual and analytical value of the film instead of an actual film review. Reads more like someone analyzing and critiquing the individual brushstrokes and materials used by an artist then the actual finished painting itself.
