Yeah but we do have to engage with them because you're really describing the people who will always make up the bulk of any mass movement. We don't really have the kind of education that produces loads of principled socialists with a holistic understanding of geopolitics, imperialism, and revolutionary strategy.

Engage as to direct the masses away from such thought, not "put oneself on the same level" as radlibs. Radlibs are something that needs to be combated, exposed for their faults and their uselessness to the masses. Capitalist culture causes little capitalists to sit on every dinner table.

Sure only a fraction will actually be the leadership of any communist revolution, which will possess the holistic understanding essential for a vanguard, however establishing such education is an indispensable component of every movement, and simply accommodating social capitalists with the equivalent of a natural phenomenon is erroneous.

"The masses" you're talking about are the radlibs. The people who went to the No Kings protest and who listen to John Oliver. There is no mass of people with no prior worldview whatsoever who you're gonna convince to become communists instead of liberals.

The masses arent liberals, but believe in a string of incoherent vibes based politics which are anti-elite in nature.

“I hate my job but at least I could have a theoretical beer with the electoral candidate”

I don’t think I fully agree with your sentiment on radlibs but this comment is so fucking true.
