I've been revisiting anno 2205, infamously the ugly duckling of the Anno series of RTS games. I don't mind so much the fact that it's different, lacks customisation and random map generation - I'm bothered because the game is so slow to progress through on challenge settings, and it feels like a game designed just to artificially waste your time; in other anno games, you can always pull tricks to dig yourself out of economic crisis - selling off assets and surplus goods, completing quests for other parties, or taking loans. 2205 is very very confined in terms of what you can do to financially recover in the early game and forces you into a lot of military events.
Counter-Strike Global Offensive. Too many cheaters and the skins just ruin the game. I still play 1.6 and Source sometimes. CS2 I don't even bother, because my pc is potato.
I feel like that’s the case with a lot of multiplayer games. I get further into some of them like Arc Raiders and then I think to myself “oh yeah I’d only recommend this to someone who was willing to put in 50-100 hours to learn the game and has a lot of patience for cheating/meta/etc.” and so I don’t recommend them.
Whereas I actually think the opposite may be true of CS2, you shouldn’t recommend that because the first 100 hours are fun. Then comes the pain of knowing people aren’t better than you and are cheating.
ARC was awesome until the sweats showed up. I don't trust the rebalancing enough to even bother again, I've moved on after like 200 hours, which is unheard of from me
