I think they fucked up the calculus on how the public will see all of this. Trump and Republicans were getting the majority of the blame for the shutdown. Caving now for so little just makes it look like it was the dems being stubborn.
fetterman is a republican in all but name, he doesn't give a shit about his constituents. if he was worried about how the public would see things, he wouldn't be such a fucking disgusting little zionist.
