Tabletop Rpg posts, content, and recruitment posts.

Recruitment posts should contain what system is being played, CW for any adult/serious themes players need to be aware of and whether a game is beginner friendly.

An obvious reminder of no racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia.

Emphasis on small independent rpgs like the ones in the TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas but not against dnd stuff.

I prefer to get physical books when I can, but I have so many gaming PDFs that I've gotten as bonuses from Kickstarters, humble bundles, etc I feel I might as well read them. It's just the experience of reading them has never been ideal for me. They're often too big and annoying to read on my phone, so there's a lot of zooming in and scrolling. I could use a full laptop, but then they're harder to hold while cuddling on the couch under a blanket or while in bed, like I would a book.

Is there any particular device people prefer for this? I'm guessing a large screened tablet but not too expensive, doesn't need too many bells and whistles since it's for a fairly simple purpose, but should be quick and responsive when loading full color pdfs or turning their pages.

Ideally, all the ttrpg publishers would change their e-books into markdown or something, but I'm not going to hold my breath for that lol.

Also, if I end up posting in this multiple ttrpg communities in other Lemmy instances, I apologize if you've read this before.

Literally just any kind of reflowable format is better than PDF. Please, EPUBs or fictionbook or something!

At the very least a low graphics version of the PDF that can be fluently searched and scrolled without every pages needing 5 seconds to render.
