I'm hesitant to lionize any politician since it invariably ends in disappointment but they are both objectively attractive and representative of a greater political and cultural shift that's been repressed and in the pipeline a long while so I think a flood of big emotions is being released at once with them arriving on the scene and some of it is being misdirected sexually.

So many important leftists are hot, it completely shatters the right-wing stereotype of leftists. They love portraying us as an amalgamation of stereotypes of leftists they made up in their head, so when these hot leftists come along and are successful, it feels great to rub it in right-wingers faces. And yeah, that'll be misdirected sexually.

Yeah, this kind of stuff happens when hot people do something cool. Loads of people were lusting for Luigi Mangione after he allegedly shot the insurance guy, just like people are lusting after the super hot New York Mayor couple.
