Nocturnal are the people who do AIGen stuff, right? It's not a bad beat tbh, and some of the imagery is kinda interesting, tho both just start repeating after a while. Be interesting to see what they're doing a year or two from now.
I figured it was AI, I mean I knew the video is. I thought it was cool.
Yeah the video's not bad. Some of the imagery's kind of interesting. I definitely have mixed feelings about AIGen, and especially hate what the corps are doing with it these days esp. how they build their models, but it's kind of interesting to see what independent operators like these are doing with the tech. I can imagine someone using this approach to tie together the brief video snippets into some kind of narrative.
I like the AI videos, some people come up with prompts. I won't post anymore from this producer.
Oh yeah I didn't mean to discourage you from posting them. It's definitely a tool that requires human interaction, and it's worth keeping an eye on. Like take a look at this AI-generated video for White zombie's "Dragula": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGWj04aUzlY It messes up in a couple places (e.g. number of fingers, length of guitar) but clearly there's a fair amount of artistry involved.
OH btw I checked out that "Lord of Illusions" movie you recommended! Yeah, it's pretty good, I kinda see what you mean (about it, compared to The Craft.) I once had a chance to visit to the real Magic Castle when I was in LA, but unfortunately I wasn't able to make it.
That Dragula video is by far the coolest thing I have seen this week. Thanks for sharing. I am glad you liked Lords of Illusions. Scott Bacula is perfect in it, everyone is casted so well. That's interesting, are you a magician?
I'm not a magician, tho I have some juggler friends I hang out with sometimes, and one of the "occasionals" also does some stage magic. The Magic Castle thing was a job function, I think maybe a fundraiser or something, iirc I coulda got a free ticket but I'da had to get a tuxedo etc and I had lots of other stuff going on at the time.
That's really cool. Thanks for sharing.
