I wonder if they would still do test scores, advanced classes, elite universities, and other meritocratic based things that position some people above others in their human development.

Edit: I wonder how this kind of mentality will be eradicated

I think the most pressing issue is how to go about material conditions of the individual.

People are born into different circumstances. If and when capitalism begins to actually give way to a communist future, the people will still be born with different skills.

This means if someone has a really strong focus on a certain topic, they will need special education if humanity wants to utilize that potential and if we want to give that person the maximum possible success in life, depending on their wishes.

I think what will most likely give way is the "need for glory" that we currently use as our only social currency since community has been killed off completely.
