When leaders across the spectrum recognize that first-past-the-post is failing, the path to a stronger democracy becomes clearer.
If that is the right thing to do to support a more fair electoral system then why aren't we doing it? Are we being held hostage by our elected representative parties by having a substandard process so the position can be held longer, even if you are not very good at your job?
Elite politicians do not like accountability and always attempt to cause electoral reform to fail due to rigged referendums that favour the status quo.
