This attitude is why our system of punishment doesn't work, and only causes higher recidivism rates.

They are sentenced to incarceration, not state-sponsored sexual violence. The emphasis should be on rehabilitation, not revenge.

Thank you for saying this. Revenge is not rehabilitation or even reparation towards society.

Prison already punishes people by removing one of the most fundamental freedoms: movement.

There is no rehabilitation for rapists and sex traffickers. If you can't understand why that shit is wrong by default then there is something fundamentally wrong with you and you can't participate in society anymore.

Not the point. We're a civilized nation, and we don't rape people as punishment. We wouldn't allow judges to sentence someone to 10 years of homosexual rape, and we shouldn't allow it as some sort of shadow punishment, either.

I didn't say anything about sentencing them to be raped. I said we shouldn't be wasting resources on trying to rehabilitate them. They should be put in a cage and left to rot. If I thought our justice system was competent I'd be arguing that we execute them
