Also, credit unions don’t have insurance on your savings, banks do.

In the United States, this is just blatantly untrue:

Established by Congress in 1970 to insure member share accounts at federally insured credit unions, the NCUSIF coverage is similar to the coverage provided by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Credit union members do not need to apply for share insurance coverage as it is provided automatically when they join a federally insured credit union. Each credit union member has at least $250,000 in total coverage for share accounts held at a federally insured credit union.

Your ignorance is hilarious though.

when they join a federally insured credit union

You realize they all aren’t…? Just because yours does, doesn’t mean all do.

More don’t join, then join. But sure let’s mislead with our fallacies.

You realize some do?

Your original statement was that credit unions don't insure your savings, full stop. Don't spread misinformation and then try to backpedal when you get called out.

One is guaranteed, the other isn’t. Is that so hard for you to comprehend? Or are you just so worried about having a gotcha that you couldn’t read it properly the first time?

If someone can tout that ALL have no fees, which isn’t true, I can make the same claim for insurance. Or is that not how debates work? Because that’s how shit works dude.

Also notice in my original comment I NEVER said bank…? Just banking…? Almost like I covered this angle… since credit union also charge fees and have different tiers of banking……..
