And by "genuine freedom and democracy" you mean the society until under Stalin, amirite?
Just busting out every cliche in the book, huh? Lemme guess, Stalin was a dictator?
No, no, of course not. He was the greatest benefactor of humanity ever.
Even under Stalin, the USSR had developed a comprehensive form of democracy. Soviet Democracy is a good work going over democracy in the USSR in the 1930s.
