Is it possible to risk a worthless thing?
Kinda. Like littering and illegal dumping offer harborage to to pathogens and pests, stochastic political environments arising from sudden power vacuums give fuel and cover to some terrible politicians. A Trump assassination isn't going to pave the way for another Mohandas Gandhi. If anything, the next Hitler or Stalin might grow from the corpse of Trump's political movement. If a citizen of the next nation he threatens to annex assassinated him, it could be a Franz Ferdinand situation.
