I think, hypothetically, there's a contrast between the two: just taking steroids won't make your muscles inflate, you have to work out at least a little to actually get gains, which is where the steroids come in you can recover and exercise more using steroids. Meanwhile, ozempic sounds as close to a miracle drug as can be: you just take an injection and start losing weight (maybe more than 1 I'm not that familiar with the treatment plan) so I think I agree most with the user who suggests its due to Christianity, because the protestant work ethic that infests western culture results in people taking the idea of "working for something" more generously than "getting something for free"
Still gotta put the diet work in with ozempic. And exercise is also advised to maintain long term weight loss to not lose as much muscle otherwise which would be undesirable.
And tbh.... I'm gonna sound controversial but PEDs and steroids kinda are miracle drugs tbh. Its just that they can have really bad side effects. But the shit you see with em especially when they're hyper responders is nuts. I've seen people come back from injuries in a short time on em. Recovering from working out 3 to 4 times a day and it not being diminishing returns is crazy. The numbers powerlifters are hitting nowadays is loco. Seeing athletes still do impressive things while injured as well....idk like in terms of bodybuilding and I guess some strength sports for instance if you aren't a hyper responder you aren't gonna be a ronnie coleman but for other performance benefits maaaaaan I don't maaaaan if you see this shit especially with a proper regime
Honestly, not always. In over a year on it I've never really had to focus on my diet and I've lost 100 pounds. I just feel "normal".
How's everyone on steroids like do they go to their doctor and say SIR, I say SIR, I need to get jacked TODAY, and they give them the gear
Prednisone was like a surprise for me. Never felt anything like it. If it wasn't for the side effects I would be taking it more often tbh.
Steroids aren't just a recovery thing, they actually make more muscle mass, hence the anabolic
