Hi, I'm Tetris but my friends call me Tee.

I like microcontrollers, 1970s progressive rock, and SciFi not written by Andy Weir. I am a snob, but I am friendly. Would you like some tea?

Hey Tee! Nice to meet ya.

What's the beef with Andy Weir? I am a sci-fi fan, but I must admitI don't know anything beyond he wrote the Martian. I got lots of tea for Christmas, it smells so fragrant. What sort do you like the most?

I wonder if there's a comm for meeting and chatting like this, it's nice.

Hi Deceptichum, greetings likewise!

He reminds me of a geography teaching tucking his kids into bed; good for film exposition and spoken dialog, but lacking in subtlety or prose. What kind of Sci-fi do you like?

As for teas, I'm an Oolong in the morning and Roobois in the evening. I do like Christmas teas though, and my ex loved to get an Tea advent calendar to try out new varieties. What's your favourite so far?

Deceptichum has you covered on the sci-fi and tea, so I’ll ask about the prog. That sub is one of the few things I still miss from the old site.

I’m all about ELP, Utopia, Gentle Giant, and Rush. Somehow Yes and Genesis never really hit the spot for me.

I learned so much from that sub, it genuinely was amazing. I'm definitely in the Genesis and Yes camp, along with Harmonium, Camel, Alan Parsons, and however one classifies Blue Oyster's scifi stuff

Interesting. I think I’ve listened to Camel once it twice before, but never got around to Harmonium or Alan Parsons. It’s been so long since I did any musical exploration though, I’m probably due to branch out a bit. I always go on such a deep dive when I find something I like that I’ll find myself knowing everything about a few bands while still having huge blind spots in the broader picture.

Harmonium

Grab some headphones, go for a small hike, and listen to this
