It think a key difference would be there wouldn't be any reluctance to provide air support this time.

They just dug up another unexploded bomb near where I live while installing water pipes. Let's not pretend the US air support didn't kill millions of people; that matters even in the event of victory against the fascists.

US has way more technology. Amerifat blobs will just keep hitting the country with drones piloted from their comfy chairs and causing mass death and chaos until the government collapses or surrenders.
