Military chiefs are drawing up plans for a possible Nato mission that would involve troops, warships and aircraft protecting the strategically important territory from Russian and Chinese aggression.

There's no doubt that both countries are aggressive and imperialistic but neither have threaten or are a threat to Greenland. The Danish land only needs to be protected from US aggression at this point. Trump doesn't have even a single security concern about Greenland: as the article goes on to say "The island is also rich in valuable natural resources, including copper, nickel and rare earth minerals that are essential for modern technology."
