I done many times long trips (1-hr. more, many of those times were 70-miles) & heavy loads on my back, almost every time never needing to call to get picked-up. So I would never this, to keep me going. With surgery repaired feet (top 10, in my state for that year, Doc. made deal about it), reason I started into bicycling everywhere, instead of walking. Either get it done or I would have walk in real pain the long distance, with the heavy backpack, for a lot longer time.
With that said, for others it must be awesome, but I question it’s need. Just train your mind, in small steps.
