I mean, that's wild because the 80s and 90s were pretty homophobic too. So even worse than then? Just great...
There was progress for a few years from 2005-2015.
Knows as the Fabulous decade.
There certainly should be a lag there, from the influences and efforts to the result, from teenagers growing under that to then becoming adults, and from what I see everything rooted in the 90s got it's lamplight in the 00s and 10s with more acceptance, while the reactive bigotry of 10s gets realized in 2020s. And the lag is getting shorter because our attention span and effectiveness of social media does too.
They basically treat being a gay man like some sort of communicable disease in that period. It's so sad to see all this sponsored regression
