I'm not going to argue about Hexbear's rules or their decision to lock a post and remove comments because they don't want to reignite one of their old struggle sessions.

That being said, how the hell do you remove all comments from users clarifying their positions and defending themselves against accusations yet leave up a comment that says

"crawl back to your misogynist hellspace over on incelgrad"?

And there's no excuse that the mods didn't see it, because they removed a comment that was a direct reply to it.

I'm pinging @thelastaxolotl@hexbear.net since you're a mod on both that post's community and this community.

Is the accusation warranted tho? I haven't interacted that much with lemmygrad users but never noticed any sort of rampant misogyny. I agree with OP this seems like unnecessary behavior.

I noticed that little scuffle and I agree, "incelgrad" made me cringe and seemed like it was at least three or four notches of hostility higher than was necessary. If it wasn't so sincerely mean-spirited it would be comical, like "fuck you and the horse you rode in on" type of thing.
