Generally, an artifact should be 100+ years old, but this is a flexible requirement if you find something rare and suitably linked to an era of history, not a strict rule. Anything over 100 is fair game regardless of rarity.

I wonder how much money this would cost to have made today. The craftsmanship looks amazing.
Just go down to the Medieval Times and get yourself a suit of plate armor!
Biggest challenge is finding an armorer capable of that type of work, and how much you're willing to do yourself. https://piped.video/watch?v=Q8LDwmI0RQA is an interesting video about a commissioned piece with gilding and great craftsmanship, they don't specify an exact amount but it was a labor of love for several people to bring it all together.
