Again, no fedposting. What the hell are we doing here USAmericans? are any folks getting more involved with their communities at least?

Obviously not all of us are in epicenters of obvious or extreme violence, but what are ways principled communists are stepping up?

No fedposting!

I'm finally trying to organize in my tiny neighborhood, pretty much just my alley. This consists of posting up "ice out" signs and having conversations to identify like minded neighbors. Pretty easy where I live.

I'm not formally in any org but I'm familiar with local orgs that will be holding organizing meetings for community self defense soon and will attend those and try to convince said neighbors.

Since I don't have kids but some of my neighbors do, I want to be the bridge where I can to help facilitate the groundwork so that when ICE activity does pick up here, which it most certainly will, the scaling up of our rapid response network will be easier.

I'm also bringing up the MN general strike whenever possible, because I think people need to start to learn and consider it. If this continues escalating, a nationwide general strike feels inevitable. If people have learned about it, and spoken to their coworkers about it, in advance, they might be more likely to join in.
