Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

The winter chills are settling in, and its getting to my bones.

I currently have these old polyester leggings, but they're quite bad at insulation (who would guess a plastic bag is bad at), and they aren't the greatest sensory experience.

I want to upgrade to something of better quality, made of wool / fleece instead for the winter.

I typically don't like reusing leggings, so it would have to be cost-effective enough to buy 8 of them.

What do you recommend?

Lined leggings are going to be more durable and thus more expensive. I have several since they're durable enough to wash.

For example, I just wore these ones I got from Amazon yesterday and they cost around $15 are warm and comfortable, but not very breathable if you get hot and sweat easily which I don't. I'm always cold. Also i t wasnt windy and I wore them under a long dress, so not sure they'll be as warm as nice wool lined ones. They look sheer, but are actually just lined with nude fabric under black sheer tights. I dont know if I'd buy 8 and only wear once, but they are inexpensive for what they are, so they won't last as long as expensive ones, but should last several wearings if they aren't abused.
