Something that isn't form over substance.
Nu Trek is all about looking flashy without any real thought put past that. The stories and themes are poorly written and presented, characters that should be highly trained professionals acting like they just graduated high school last week and maybe skimmed the chapter names of their particular profession. Contradictory retcons of established lore for no real reason than the writer thought it would be cool.
