Most universities have cut their budgets this year. A lot of Small Private Colleges are closing, merging, or otherwise not doing too hot.

Big universities with massive endowments will be fine, but there's a lot more colleges than that.

My fault for not being explicit. They're facing financial challenges because the state isn't investing in them, was my thinking.
