With this election outcome, more nationalist hardline declarations and legislation are to be expected, along with increased economic and industrial instability due to additional Chinese sanctions in response to japan attempt to militarize.

We have been at war for a long time.

It's just different. I suppose you could call it "cold" but I never liked the name, because look at how deadly shit like sanctions are.

Francisco Rodríguez and colleagues once again demonstrate that sanctions do kill: economic sanctions imposed by the USA or the EU were associated with 564 258 deaths (95% CI 367 838–760 677) annually from 1971 to 2021, higher than the annual number of battle-related casualties (106 000 deaths).
