I hate to see e-moto bikes take the heat, kind of similar (less nuanced) to guns in the US. The tech is cool as hell, and honestly I want 3! And it's a damn shame they're being used inappropriately, something should absolutely be done about it. But I get an uncomfortable feeling with proactive laws. I understand that there can't be any e-moto crashes if there are no bikes, but people could do the same anti social behaviors on a dirt bike. It's a matter of accessibility in my opinion, they're relatively inexpensive and idk about license laws but obviously nobody follows them. Why not just treat them like motorcycles and charge delinquents similarly?
