Not paying 50k a month definitely beats paying 50k month.
Cloud service providers give away their service for free to non-commercial projects and startups all the time for marketing purposes. I wouldn't read too much into it.
But yeah best to still look for hosting alternatives.
yeah the dude is definitely doing it mostly for advertising purposes for his company (and personal reputation).
