Yet entirely expected. "Every accusation is a confession" has been a common trope for the Republican party for decades at this point for a reason.

And when those lawsuits shook out it turned out that the Biden administration didn't actually do anything wrong. It just warned people about an attempt to influence the election but never said they had to remove content.

The current administration didn't tell anyone they had to remove anything either, AFAIK. But it can be considered curtailing freedom of speech to ask.

Threatening to take away their license to broadcast is very different, but that was for ABC.

The current administration is 100% openly telling apple, Google, Facebook, etc... to remove ice reporting tool and making threats against protected speech.
