Could be the anticipation of a tight knit group of people doing a shared activity is not getting the credit it deserves. Like looking forward to a holiday, it's the ritual and familiar rhythm of the movie night with the refreshing new experience at the core which brings us joy. It's the best of both tradition and novelty.
