A week and a half ago I shared an ABC article that I had a pretty scathing review of for how one sided it was, and shared the details of my complaint.

Today, the ABC responded.

Thank you for taking the time to send in your feedback about the report on Queensland Parliament's proposed hate laws.

A spokesperson for the Justice for Palestine was interviewed later in the afternoon on the day of the announced reforms. Her comments were included in the video version of the story and should have been sent through to our digital team to be added to the online story. This didn't happen. It was an error and after receiving your complaint I asked the team to amend the article. A quote from the Justice of Palestine spokesperson and an explanation of the contested nature of the phrases has been added, along with an editor's note identifying the update.

I've spoken directly with the journalists involved in an effort to ensure they learn from the mistake.

Once again, thanks for sending through your complaint which will help improve our work in future.

I note that the added section:

The meaning of "globalise the intifada" is contested. The word "intifada" means "shaking off" in Arabic and has been used to refer to two periods of violent Palestinian protest against Israel. Many in the Jewish community argue use of the term is hateful and a call for violence.

Merely points out that it is "contested", before giving an entirely one-sided definition.
