Given that keeping him around was murdering both Tuvok and Neelix, killing Tuvix was technically -1 murders.

Clone Tuvix twice. Split one, then Tuvix the other two with Tuvoc and Neelix, creating a Tuvox and a Neelic.

Voyager fixed forever.

Clone Tuvix, unmerge them from the clone, then kill Neelix. Also then kill the original Tuvix to be quite sure that Neelix cannot possibly survive.

~~The only problem with that scenario is that you are left with a Tuvix, as well as Neelix. Would you just airlock them tf out?~~ (sry, reading skills absent atm)

Yes, this would be an acceptable solution that would have been taught at the academy for generations to come! Bravely saving the life of both a prominent lieutenant (later rising to the level of captain) and the plant whilst stating a clear line against any such abominations.

Why not just riker-clone tuvix then unmerge them then shoot tuvix out the air lock?

[–] Grail@multiverse.soulism.net 8 points 1 day ago

Riker clones can only be made on that one planet with the reflective atmosphere

Riker clone, unmerge them then shoot tuvix and nelix out the air lock? Its the only sensible thing to do.

True.

Tho even if you would count it as 4 murders (Janeway killing Tuvix on the spot where she first saw him, no questions asked, no explanations given) it would be still well worth it.

(I'm counting the flower as the fourth & most innocent victim in all this.)
