How did Walkers decide on making hot honey crisps? Plus, Jennifer Garner and Charli xcx chat to Graham Norton. Here’s what to watch this evening

8pm, Channel 4Hot honey crisps, anyone? The divisive new flavour is one of a few launched as part of Walkers’ recent rebrand. In this programme – verging on an advertorial – the cameras are invited to witness the birth of crisps from soil to shelf, and go inside the kitchen to find out how flavours like masala chicken and sticky teriyaki are invented. Does anyone have an idea how to watch this from outside the UK? Whenever we visit, Walkers crisps is among the products we buy in bulk to bring them home, and I'd really like to watch this.

Get rid of Walkers and buy Tayto if you want a good crisp. Unbeatable.

Proper salt and vinegar, Wuster sauce, smokey bacon, and pickled onion as well.

Yes, it's spelled Wuster.

Never heard if them. Which chain in the UK sells them?

[–] Diddlydee@feddit.uk 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They're Northern Irish crisps. You sometimes find them in home bargains or b&m in England. You can get them online easy enough. They blow Walkers out of the water.

Never heard of either chain before. But it seems there is a b&m in the retail park on the road from Hastings to Bexhill, so at least is know where to find one.

Oh mate you're in for a treat.

OK, they are on the shopping list for the next visit.

I'd imagine the main one is to watch it on channel4.com (which has a stream-on-demand service), but through a VPN that pretends you're in the UK. Quite a lot of buggering about with making an account and stuff though.

Actual program link here, once it's live : Walkers Unpacked - Inside the Crisp Factory

Thanks. Might be too much of an issue, then. I thought about getting a VPN to the UK to watch BBC, but I've heard they are rather ... unfond ... of VPNs. Getting a VPN just to watch a show on four might be a bit excessive.

Aren't they just Lays?
