That was 30 years ago though. That's like comparing 90s prices with 60s prices.

We can get waaaaaay more cooked.

He said the population has increased by 12 million since 2020. Objectively and wildly wrong. It's about 2.5 million.

Meanwhile in countries where you aren't beholden to your employer and health insurance, being paid when sick is just standard.

You board something you can move around in or on. You get in or on smaller methods of transport.

I'd recommend getting a short chain that straps to your belt if you're keeping it in your trouser pockets. The last thing you want is to lose the thing with all your important stuff. It should be attached to you one way or another.

Yes, but it should be a standard feature within the controller.

My complaint about remotes is they should all come with a fob that you put on your keys and when you press the fob the controller beeps. That would be the best thing ever.

Same reason I'm mean to women. I wouldn't want them thinking I want to sleep with them.

I visited the Atacama observatory about 15 years ago as it's meant to be the best place on earth to see the stars. It's also one of the driest places on earth.

After travelling half way around the world I had solid cloud cover and the threat of rain for 4 days and saw nothing.

I was not sober on that occasion.

One more would be too farty.

I have a bath every night, no matter the weather. 30 mins reading my current book before washing and shaving. I have a bath thermometer and keep the temperature at 43.5 degrees c. Usually some muscle relaxing herbal bath salts. It's the best part of the day. Pure bliss.

It's usually a bugger to get out and you need to involve a finger.

I don't recall that happening with any other foodstuff.

It's an absolute bugger to get out, often involving a finger to work it free?

I don't recall that ever happening with any other foodstuff.

We'll be getting a free skinner moth trap soon. Basic one with no lights.

I know fitting a light will be best and I will a few months down the line, but in order to demonstrate to the kids, could I use a number of UV glowsticks we have in the first instance?

Not ideal, I know, but they're good glowsticks - very bright and glow well for 8 hours or so.

I asked here as the moth place I found on Lemmy wasn't active.
