I'm mid 40s and have no friends from high school. None from either uni I went to either. I have friends but also accept that friends come and go. Maybe I should try harder but I'm an only child who moved around a lot as a kid. Friends come and go and always have for me. It doesn't bother me. I don't struggle with loneliness.

That’s a-okay and everyone has different habits about that. I’m bad at making friends and I have only gotten worse as time goes on, so I try to hold on to my friends. I’m still friends with 4-5 people I went to middle school with, and ~6-8 people I went to college with. We don’t hang out every day or anything, but I talk to them directly at least occasionally (I live across an ocean, so there’s not much regular contact, but we saw each other when I last visited).

It’s okay that there isn’t anyone else from high school, but it is out of the ordinary.
