Unfortunately. Phillip Island is not likely to remain on the calendar. It is definitely one of the best tracks with great racing and history, but doesn't make enough money, and that's not how Liberty role.
This was covered on a recent Oxley Bom MotoGP Podcast which is worth checking out. Apparently, there have been discussion talked about doing a street track in Melbourne instead but that is impossible due to safety and seen as a bit of a negotiating tactic to push for more investment.
Sadly it all comes down to money and Australia isn't much of a market for bikes generally.
