Having been to Yellowstone I can say that that experience is ALMOST worth what she went through.

The buffalo really do just come up to your car and YES they will fucking charge you. At least this couple got to enjoy that.

Seriously, though. Spent a week at Yellowstone and could go another ten times and see new things each time. Just absolutely a beautiful gem of America and unlike any place I've been.

I'd love to see a bunch of places in the US...

...provided her people get their heads out of their asses and turn that country around to the point I reasonably feel safe going there.

As an American that has the privilege to enjoy a lot of unique things here. Yellowstone is the top. As long as you're looking for a unique place and like nature. If you're a tourist that loves shopping or beaches you can get that elsewhere with better public transit. Yellowstone and Joshua Tree are the best of the US as a tourist in my opinion. If it ever becomes safe to travel here those should be top of your list.

Joshua Tree can be a combo of LA or Vegas or even San Diego and Mexico. But, unfortunately, Yellowstone is hundreds of miles away from any meaningful civilization. But worth it. Joshua Tree is second on my list and is still 10x less amazing than Yellowstone. And I loved Joshua Tree.
