Indeed. 1.0 made it much better and actually competitive with the commercial programs. The topological naming issue is still there but not nearly as bad as before.

I've made some more complex designs as well such as as a CNC machine and a multi channel peristaltic pump with an attached planetary gearbox. Freecad itself was never the issue when designing these things.
